Introduction Welcome to the online photography home of Dave Hassell where you will find just a few examples of his collection of photographs. He has been involved in birding and bird photography for many years. He started bird watching at an early age with an additional interest in photography, but it was not until the early 1970's that he combined both interests and progressed on to bird photography.
When the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds started their local members groups, back in 1971, he served on the committee of his local group for many years. He also became a Young Ornithologists Club leader for 12 years. He has given many talks to RSPB, YOC and other wildlife and photography groups throughout the southeast using his photographs. Dave has won first prize in the Scottish Ornithologists Club's photographic competition on two occasions as well as several runner up prizes.
A lot of his photography has concentrated on British birds but for some years now he has travelled to the United States of America and photographed many of their colourful birds throughout several of their States. click images to enlarge |
